My grandmother is 87 years old and she had an operation on the leg this year therefore making it difficult for her to walk not to mention she is too old to be going out of the house often. She then asked me to buy her a meal one piece chicken. IShe gave me her senior ID with authorization letter. Thr manager told me they could not grant discount even with the ID and letter since the senior is not present even after telling her the condition why she cant purchase it instead. I hope that this can be looked into as this is a mandated law and they are not honoring it.

@Doree santos, why is it that the city of Passay discriminates against PWD’s an Seniors at MOA by not accepting their cards for payment of parking fees?? the Philippines goverment is not discriminating? who will hold them responsible??

Here in the Philippines? Laws are not strictly implemented.. Sample na lang dito sa website na ito. If they truely care for PWD someone should be monitoring this. Walang kwenta ang batas or bill kahit ipasa nila.. Bihira ang sumusunod. Kasi alam ng mga establishments or tao na kahit ireklamo sila. Wala din mngyayari. Minsan ang pagpasa ng isang batas or bill ay isang way ng pagpapabango lang mambabatas. Nothing else.. Kaya walang asenso ang pinas dahil sa mga klase ng tao na tulad ng mga nirereklamo dito. Walang pangil ang batas!

They insisted that she has to come in herself for the discount.
My sister just came home from the hospital because of chemo therapy complications and requested food from chopsticks house. Just 2 orders for her own consumption. Their managament insists that unless I practically drag my sister who practically cant walk, they cant honor the discount.
I just hope the ncda will do something to punish evil establishments.

i asked her if i ask someone to personally book me on those dates at their hotel and pay upfront, can i still avail of the online/published rates.. she said she will reserve it for me and have it paid within the week.. so there you go, since i know their published rates online, she gave it to me But SHE ADDED 12% VAT TO MY TOTAL BILL..

so my point is, why give me a different rate? since i asked for a pwd discount? and why add 12% vat when i am supposed to be vat free
