I hope that ACECYD will not overlook to review our present curriculum named RBEC. Our present curriculum aims for the advancement of the child’s learning while the old curriculum focuses on the mastery of the child’s learning.
As a regular tutor, I was shocked to know that my students were not able to master simple addition and subtraction but has taken up multiplication and division. It is very sad to see the cons of the RBEC curriculum.
In my opinion, it is not only the strategies that are essential to provide access to CSNs but also to design a curriculum which comprises things that are necessary to be taught and ways how things to be taught that promote mastery and independent living skills.
