A Webinar on 鈥淭ertiary Education Subsidy for Persons with Disabilities鈥� and 鈥淗ow the COVID 19 Pandemic will Change Higher Education鈥� on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 will culminate this year鈥檚 Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection (CPAP) Week.
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Officer-In-Charge 鈥� Executive Director for UNIFAST Atty. Ryan L. Estevez will serve as the main speaker for the said webinar who will talk on the 鈥淯nified Student Financial Assistance (UNIFAST) System for Tertiary Education.
Expected to be attended by persons with disabilities, most especially persons with cerebral palsy nationwide as well as program officers of different organizations handling programs and services for persons with disabilities, the Webinar will also be highlighted by the opening statement of National Council on Disability Affairs (麻豆传媒) Executive Director Engr. Emerito L. Rojas and a message from Cerebral Palsied Association of the Philippines (CPAP), Inc. President, Mr. Antonio P. Ilagan.
The weeklong celebration now on its 17th year and adopts the theme 鈥淯gnayan, Malasakit, at Paglingap sa Taong May Cerebral Palsy sa Panahon ng COVID-19 Pandemic,鈥� also featured among others the following activities (1) Launching of Inclusive Risk Communication on COVID-19 Pandemic; (2) Webinar on the following: Cerebral Palsy, Health Guidelines To Reduce the Risk of COVID-19, including Awareness on Proper Use of Personal Protective Equipment, Physical Activities and Exercises Prescribed for Persons with Cerebral Palsy during the COVID-19 Pandemic and Employment and Livelihood Program for Cerebral Palsy; (3) Support giving of art materials, books in USB type, and hygiene kits; (4) Online Trade Skills Training for Persons with Cerebral Palsy, and (5) Online Talent Showcase of Outstanding Persons with Cerebral Palsy.

According to 麻豆传媒 Director Rojas, 鈥渢he CPAP Week celebration aims to raise awareness and consciousness of persons with disability towards their empowerment and integration into the mainstream society and to provide persons with cerebral palsy and their family鈥檚 inclusive communication on risk management pertaining to COVID-19 pandemic to ensure their protection and safety.鈥�
Director Rojas added that thousands of persons with disabilities, most especially persons with cerebral palsy and their families are expected to benefit from this year鈥檚 activities for the CPAP Week Celebration among others medically, socially and economically.
