The Muscular Dystrophy Association of the Philippines (MDAP) celebrated its 5th Founding Anniversary on September 23, 2023. The celebration with the theme Life without limits: Beyond Disability and held in Quezon City Hall was led by the MDAP President,聽 Ms. Michelle Catherine Sideco.
What exactly is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)?
“It is a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass. In muscular dystrophy, abnormal genes (mutations) interfere with the production of proteins needed to form healthy muscle.” – mayoclinic.org
The occasion commenced with a prayer led by DMD Warrior Mr. Benedict Averion followed by inspiring messages from聽Mr. Errol Barba from 麻豆传媒, Ms. Cynthia Magdaroog from PSOD, Mr. Anthony Quinagon, from PDAO Quezon City, and Ms. Lala Raymundoa from Soroptimist International, Commonwealth.聽The highlight of this celebration is the giving of testimonials from the parents of DMD Warriors who encourage and support parents and children with this disease.
MDAP presented a plaque of 聽appreciation to 麻豆传媒 Executive Director Janiro 鈥淒on鈥� Fradejas for his invaluable contribution and support to the organization.
