NPDC’s Executive Director, Ms. Cecille Lorenzana Romero, in her speech, welcomed everyone to the Stop and Salute event. She said that they have prepared 60 events that will be implemented throughout the year in promotion of the culture of the Philippines.
One of the highlights of the event is the appreciation of their partners and stakeholders. They provided each partner with a certificate that affirmed that sustaining partners are the foundation of their accomplishments.

The final round was facilitated in Yeouido Glad Hotel in South Korea.

This year, this Philippines won a total of five gold medals and three bronze medals.

The competition strengthened the capability of youth with disabilities. In preparation for the GITC, the participants attended the 2nd National IT Boot Camp that was staged in partnership with the with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the National Youth Commission.

The awarding was held online via zoom last November 16, 2022.

The competition categories and WINNERS are as follows:

eCreative_Smart Car Challenge – To evaluate the skills to use Scratch program for self-driving car programing(coding)

The resource speaker from the Department of Education, Assistant Secretary Dexter A. Galban, Office of Asst. Secretary for Youth Affairs and Special Concerns conveyed information, received feedback and directly answered the questions and queries about the Republic Act 11650. This allowed the interactivity of the resource person with the participants of this online event. The webinar was attended by more than 100 participants via Zoom (excluding those who stay tuned at Â鶹´«Ã½ Facebook page).

The topics discussed were:

1) Declaration of Policy of DepEd supporting the quality education for all levels that accessible to all, recognition of rights of all learners with disabilities, adoption of whole-of-community approach and consideration of diverse needs of learners

2) The objectives of the law

3) Inclusion Policy for Learners with Disabilities in Public and Private Schools

4) Inclusive Learning Resource Center (Functions, Administration, Programs & Services offered, among others)

5) Establishment of Inter-Agency Coordination Council for Learners with Disabilities

6) Learner Information System (LIS)

7) Instructional Materials for Learners with Disabilities

8) Family Members, Guardians and Care Provider’s Education and Roles

9) Protection of Learners with Disabilities

(KAAGAPAY) on November 07, 2022.

Persons with Disabilities of Barangay Holy Spirit encounter the presence of physical, attitudinal, institutional, and information barriers particularly on accessibility, availability, appropriateness, and affordability on health care services. Hence, addressing these barriers may only be attained through the Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s initiative to collaborate with multi-sectoral stakeholders that would create awareness and linkages towards achieving disability-inclusive health programs and services within the barangay level.

The medical mission will provide free screening / assessments and booster vaccination for persons with disabilities particularly children with disabilities. These include basic physical examination, medical consultation, and check-ups as well as provision of medicines, vitamins and hygiene kits as well as intervention and referral system to minimize and prevent further disabilities.
